Surge Generator according to IEC 61180-2. CWG 18kV, 9kA
MIG1809-1P is a hybrid generator with a voltage wave shape 1,2/50 µs at "no load" and a current wave shape 8/20 µs at short circuit. The impulse can be superimposed onto ac power mains using the integrated 32A Coupling Decoupling Network (CDN). This generator is ideal for tesing surge protection devices connected to ac power in accordance with IEC 61643-1.
